Our G.I.V.E. (Get.Involved.Volunteer.Exceed.) Your Jeans a New Home initiative partnered with Habitat for Humanity to help families in need of decent, affordable places to live.
More than 19,000 pairs of used jeans were collected from college campuses, employees and high school students and recycled into "green" building insulation for use in Habitat for Humanity homes in the South Bronx in New York City and Hurricane Katrina–ravaged Mississippi.
In addition, the G.I.V.E. campaign donated $100,000 to build Katrina-related replacement homes in Mobile, Alabama. Ralph Lauren Volunteers participated in the South Bronx and Mobile projects.
