Vachetta

Vamp
A term for the front part of a shoe that covers the toes and instep.
 
 
Velcro®
A trademarked trim used for fastening that consists of tiny nylon hooks and loops.
 
 
Velour
A tightly woven or knit fabric, usually made of cotton, that has a dense, plush pile.
 
 
Velvet
A cotton, silk or rayon fabric in a plain, twill or satin weave that has a pile, which is usually cut and brushed for a plush surface.
 
 
Vent
A slit in the hem of a garment to provide ease of movement.
 
 
Viscose
A type of rayon fiber known for its soft, silky hand.
 
 
Voile
A lightweight, sheer, plain-weave fabric usually made in cotton with a slightly crisp feel.
